In the UK, Residential property has outperformed both Commercial property and Stocks over every time period during the last 30 years. It has proven to have low volatility.
Looking back over the past decades, Traditional Property has outperformed New Build, and gives investors the best return.
The long term capital appreciation of Residential property has been 7% pa.
London is a much sought after location for High Wealth overseas investors, although yields are generally lower than the rest of the UK. Capital Appreciation has been less good than the rest of the UK.
Scotland has performed very well as an investment, for a number of reasons. Our experience shows that yields and occupancy in Scotland have been higher than in England, during the recession. This is in part due to the regulations which impact each market.
During the downturn, property prices have been more stable in Scotland than in England.
